Toy Soldier Painting

Hand painted in Cornwall

George Kearton is one of the United Kingdom’s foremost experts on toy and model soldiers and is the author of the groundbreaking “Collector’s Guide to Plastic Toy Soldiers 1947 - 1987” which has been reprinted and is available now from Amazon.co.uk here, Amazon.com here and Amazon.es here. If you live outside of these areas a quick search on the relevant Amazon site for your country should find the book for you to purchase.

Please note that Amazon often give good discounts and at the time of writing a saving can be made of £1.50 on the Recommended Retail Price.

By popular demand, George is now offering a model soldier painting service. So, if you do not paint your own figures (maybe you just haven’t the time or even the inclination to paint them yourself), then this expert help could be the way to expand your collection of painted items.

For example, 54mm toy soldiers (Armies in Plastic, Airfix, Call To Arms, Italeri etc.,) can be hand painted from as little as £3.00 each. As this is an individual service and each request will be so different, please email George in the first instance. Your requirements, cost and delivery time can then be discussed to mutual satisfaction.

A customer recently emailed George and said:-

"Thanks very much for painting the knight, which arrived today, in the uniform of the Order of St Lazarus. It looks splendid".

As an example of his work, George transformed three Halloween figures. Here is a view of the painting in progress.
